San Diego State’s Stephen Strasburg gave Team USA the performance on the mound they needed to secure a Semifinal win against Chinese Taipei. Stephen struck out 9 in 7 innings pitched and held the opposing team to just two Hits. As he will not pitch in this tournament anymore he can now start his preparation for the Olympics in Beijing. After the World University Tournament he will join US Olympic squad. Good luck to him and his team mates.
